Paradeer was created for VGen’s monthly “Paradise” challenge. When thinking about the theme, I didn’t want to go for the most obvious image of paradise. Instead, I started thinking about it as a feeling: a place or moment where you can simply feel safe and at peace.That idea shaped the whole illustration. I chose deep greens and warm, soft light to create a quiet atmosphere, while the deer became a symbol of innocence and vulnerability. I wanted the setting to feel ordinary enough to be believable, but still have a sense of depth and mystery.
